Mirella Carone nee Buffone, formerly Aloia, 86 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 29, 2026.

Beloved wife of the late Dominick Carone.

Loving mother of John (Michelle) Aloia, Fiorina (Ken) Tomerlin, Gina (Kevin) McMahon, Paula Podvin, Gina Carone, & Anna (Fritz) Klug.

Cherished Nana of John Aloia, Zach (Sarah) Aloia, Natalie (Emma) Tomerlin, Ryan (Holly) McMahon, Michael (Allee) Tomerlin, Christopher (Sandra) McMahon, Jack Klug, & Ray Klug.

Dear sister of Frank (Wanda) Buffone, Delia (the late Umile) Belmonte, Aldo (Apri) Buffone, Sistina (Chris) Barton, & the late Joseph Buffone.

Fond aunt of many nieces & nephews.

Funeral Tuesday June 2nd, 10:15 am from Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn to St. Linus Church for Mass at 11:00 am.

Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Visitation Monday, June 1st from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Mirella was born in Marano Principato, Cosenza, Italy and came to the United States at age 15. She was a compassionate person who was always there for others in their time of need. She was a strong woman who overcame any obstacle that presented itself to her. Her faith in God and family were the most important things in her life. She was loved by so many and will be truly missed.
