Sister Ellen Marie Ryan

Sister Ellen Marie Ryan, RSM, Beloved Sister of Mercy for 70 years.

Sister Ellen Marie Ryan slipped into the heart of God on September 18.  Ellen was a beloved member of the Sisters of Mercy for seventy years.  She was a gifted musician and an outstanding teacher of music.  Ellen led the A cappella chorus, advanced chorus and grew the orchestra at Mother McAuley High School, where she ministered for over thirty years. Ellen's enthusiasm for music was inspiring and today two of her former students now lead the music department at Mother McAuley. 

Devoted daughter of the late Ella nee Reidy & Joseph Ryan.

Loving sister of the late Maryellen Shanta-Williams, John Ryan, & Margaret Ryan Paquette.

Proud aunt & great aunt of many.

Prayer Service and Visitation, Wednesday October 1st from 9:00 am  until 10:15 am at Mercy Hall, Illinois Room, 10044 S. Central Park in Chicago.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday October 1st at 10:30 am at Mercy Chapel.

Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
