Patricia M. Kucharzyk
Patricia Mae Kucharzyk, Suddenly.
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Patricia Kucharzyk, who left us suddenly on August 11th, 2025, at the age of 80.
Born on January 13th, 1945, in Chicago, IL. She grew up in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood where she created friendships that would last her a lifetime. Friends that became more like sisters, like Dottie and GiGi, who she held so very close to her heart. Friendship turned into the love of her life when she married William Kucharzyk in 1966 and, together, they shared a marriage for 59 years.
Throughout her life, Patricia spent time as a woman of faith, donating her time and talents to the Catholic Church, through her work with groups like the Mother’s Club and the Women’s League.
Patricia’s true passion in life was her family, first becoming a mother and then the joy of being a grandmother. Her role as “Grandma” was one she embraced wholeheartedly. She loved attending school plays, dance recitals, sporting events, and grandparents’ day. It wasn’t just the big events, but the small things like making pancakes in the morning, combing their knotty hair, taking them to their favorite restaurant, hiding a secret stash of her Kolaczki for them. It was the little things she found the most important. She made each grandchild feel uniquely loved, always offering a listening ear, wise advice, or a comforting hug when it was needed most.
She created a home that was a place for gatherings. It was where everyone was welcomed with open arms, warm meals, and a heart full of love. Where her grandchildren made memories that they will always cherish.
She leaves behind her spouse, William Kucharzyk, son Christopher Kucharzyk and his wife, Jane, grandchildren Lucas, Josephine, and Margaret, daughter Martha Croker, grandchildren Lex and Brittany, who will carry her legacy forward with pride and devotion.
