Melissa "Missy" L. Doherty
Melissa “Missy” Doherty, 32, passed away as a result of a 16-year, fiercely fought battle with lymphoma and leukemia. Her family was by her side when she peacefully drifted off to be with the Lord. Beloved daughter of Bonnie nee Baker & Bob Doherty. Dearest sister of Bobby Doherty & Colleen (Kiel) Quatman. Loving aunt of Emerson Quatman. Treasured niece of Jim (Jeanette) Baker. Fond cousin of Megan (Brian) Hill, Addyson Hill, Brooklyn Hill, Amy (Scott) Larkin, Deven Tlanda & Marissa Tlanda. Adored friend of many.
Resting at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn where Services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am.
Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Visitation Monday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
Missy was born in Oak Lawn, IL, and grew up in Palos Heights, IL. She graduated from University of Illinois and had a successful career in Finance and Accounting. She was a fiercely loyal and selfless friend and family member. She adamantly supported the research to find a cure for cancer by running with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
