Thomas J. Mica CW4 U.S. Army Cherished husband of Patricia Ann. Dear son and brother of 4 siblings. Resting at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn where Services will take place Wednesday at 11:00 am. Entombment Bethania Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 4 pm until 8 pm. 40 year Veteran-U.S. Army Reserve. Member of the 173rd Airborne Brigade known as Sky Soldiers. Served in Vietnam, Operation Desert Shield and Operation Iraqi Freedom for 4 and a half years following 9-11. Tom was a highly decorated Intelligence Officer serving at the Defense Intelligence Agency and Cheyenne Mountain Complex. He also attended the annual conferences in Seoul Korea. Tom was a 28 year veteran of the Oak Lawn Police Department and was one of the original D.A.R.E. Officers teaching until 2000. During his career he earned 24 awards.
