Edwin G. Garver. United States Army Air Corp Veteran. Beloved husband of 70 years of Sybil nee Daughtry Garver. Loving father of Gil Garver, Jane (Joseph) Ventimiglia, Diane (the late Bob) Castillo, Zach (Cynthia) Garver & Michael (Marianne) Garver. Cherished grandfather of 7 & the late grandson Staff Sergeant Cory Edwin Garver. Devoted great grandfather of 12. Visitation Tuesday 9:30 to 10:30 at Most Holy Redeemer Church, 9525 Lawndale Avenue, Evergreen Park, IL 60805. Mass immediately following at 10:30 am. Interment Private. First American Daylight Raid into Germany in 1943. He was shot down in October of 1943 and P.O.W. for 2 years. He was past commander of Greater Chicago Chapter American P.O.W.’s. He was a member of SAR and the Mayflower Society. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the Fr.
