Florence L. Wojcik nee Spychalski, Centurion, (Bridgeport/Brighton Park neighborhood), born August 20, 1914 and called to heaven June 3, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Haraburda & Paul J. Wojcik. Loving mother of Paul (Lynn) Wojcik, David (Nettie) Haraburda & Patricia Haraburda Liskovec. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie & Michelle Wojcik, Edward & Anna Haraburda & Frank & David Liskovec. Proud great grandmother of many. Dear sister of the late Eddie Spychalski, Sister Mary Esther SSJ, Mae Pikulski, Rose Stolarski,Rita Justic, Jean Spychalski & Mary Nied.Treasured aunt of many nieces & nephews. Funeral Saturday 9:00 am from Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn to Rosary Hill, Justice, for Mass at 10:00 am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 3 pm until 9 pm. Active in Chicago politics, Florence was appointed the position of First Woman Precinct Captain by then Illinois State Representative, Richard J. Daley. She was instrumental in organizing the building of St. Pancratius Church located at 40th & Sacramento in Chicago. She led the Pancratius Women’s Auxiliary and worked tirelessly at fund raising and bringing the community together.
