Elaine Ruth Koza, 68 of La Crescent, MN, died on Monday, October 7, 2013 at her home in La Crescent. Elaine, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Gohlman) Strezo, beloved wife of Joseph “Mike” Koza, passed away following her battle with Sarcoma Cancer and a longer battle with Cardiomyopathy. In addition to her husband Mike of La Crescent, she is survived by four sons; Michael (Dori) Koza, Mark (Daria) Koza, Matthew (Mary) Koza, Martin (Stephanie) Koza and eleven grandchildren all of whom are living in the upper Midwest.

Her enormous will, her friendly personality, wealth of selflessness and gracious smile will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 P.M. on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crescent chapel, 111 South Oak St. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at St. Terrence Catholic Church in Alsip, IL. Burial will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery also in Alsip, IL. A Prayer Service will be held Friday evening at 7:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mayo foundation for Sarcoma Research or the Mayo Foundation for Cardiomyopathy Research.
